A conversation presented by renowned musician Leo Blanco, Berklee College of Music – Boston, exploring the history and influence of African rhythms in the diverse music of the Americas, including, but not limited to salsa, merengue, punta, and bachata. The presentation will include an interactive conversation and multimedia experiences.  A dance reception follows the presentation featuring light bites from the Americas and Africa, as well as today’s popular music from both continents.
