Poetic Bridges Awards Event - Continental Poetry Contest
Award Ceremony will be held during the INTERNATIONAL LITERATURE FESTIVAL 2018 on the day Tuesday, November 6h at the University of Houston, Student Center South, Skyline Room, 4455 University Dr., Houston, TX 77204 @ 4pm
The announcement of the winner of the Poetic Bridges 2018 contest will be with Dr. Anadeli Bencomo from University of Houston.

Winners of the Poetic Bridges 2018
First place of the Poetic Bridges 2018:
Ignacio Carvajal is Costa Rican. His work has appeared in OUT/CAST and Brain Mill Press' Voices, as well as in the anthologies Primera Página: Poetry from the Latino Heartland and The Wandering Song: Central American Writing in the United States. Ignacio is a member of the Latino Writers Collective of Kansas City and the Taller Literario Don Chico in San José. He is a PhD Candidate in Latin American Literature at the University of Texas at Austin, where he is also a board member of Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review.

Sus poemas han aparecido en OUT/CAST y "Voices" de Brain Mill Press, y también en las antologías Primera Página: Poetry from the Latino Heartland y The Wandering Song: Central American Writing in the United States. Ignacio es miembro del Latino Writers Collective de Kansas City y del Taller Literario don Chico en San José. Está terminando su doctorado en literatura latinoamericana en la Universidad de Texas en Austin, donde también es miembro de la junta directiva de Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review.
