Who is Jaqueline Pérez- Guevara
She was born in Chihuahua, México, in the year of 1993. She has a bachelor’s degree in Latin American Literature at the Universidad Iberoamericana (IBERO) in Mexico City. She started her professional career writing for Altertexto a literature magazine from her university.
She has been a Media Correspondent at the Guadalajara International Book Fair for many years: 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and the most recent during november 2018t. Also, she has participated as a Jury of the international short story contest Juan Rulfo during 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2018. She also has writtten for other local and international newspapers and magazines like Nexos, Esquire Latinoamerica, Esquire España, Harpers Bazaar, El Heraldo de Chihuahua, Altertexto, VozEd and Punto en Línea UNAM.
She has participated in courses about film writing, narrative journalism, chronicle, literary creation and publishing clinics. As part of ther international experience, she has been a correspondent in Madrid, Spain, in New York in the United States of America and in Toronto, Canada.
As a reporter from Squirre, she conducted interviews with international stars like Dwayne Johnson, Ignacio López Tarso, Lorenzo Hagerman, Diego Luna, Etgar Keret, Isabel Arvide, Chumel Torres, Starr Figura, Ana Clavel, Peter Kuper, César Silva Márquez, Alejandro Zambra, Rigoberto Pérezcano, Miguel Rodarte, Nell Leyshon, Ben Brooks, Olivia Culpo, Eduardo Agualusa, Sergio Sánchez Suárez, Fabio Mórabito, Enrique Serna, Cecilia Suárez, Sebastián, Enrique Olvera, Use Lahzo, Ricardo Cavolo, and others.
She received an award for being a young woman promoting art and culture in Mexico and around the world. Elected by Foro,, Jaqueline was selected as one of 60 outstanding young women in Mexico City. She feels a passion for short stories that has led her to show her work in specialized literature magazines.
She has a degree in literature from the Universidad Iberoamericana, studies at El País- Universidad Autonoma de Madrid in Madrid, Spain; Studies in Cultural Management at the University of Salamanca in Spain and at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de México. Ambassador in Mexico of Casa Cultural de las Americas.
